You did not apply to be born in this world, none of you choose the parents you found yourselves with. While some of you might have been born in hospitals that resemble first-class hotels, and while some of us had their umbilical cords cut using a nappier-grass blade; neither of us applied to be born here.
Never, ever, allow yourself to be bullied without your consent. If a lecturer wants to give you an E because you failed to play ball tell him to go screw a cactus and stand for what you believe in. No one said you must have a First Class Honors for you to achieve your goals in life. If someone is threatening to expose your private photos because you refused to buy them off, send them data bundles and let them post those things real quick.
People love arm-twisting those they consider weak, they attack your soft spot hoping you'll melt and then take advantage of you. There is nothing this world has never seen, the National Intelligence Service listens to you having sex over the phone every day and you want to be embarrassed when the things go public?
Learn to wear your badges with pride and honor. In the village, whenever we committed atrocities in the grazing fields and some loudmouth threatened to expose us to our parents, we were quick to ask them if they needed any facilitation to expedite the process. You are better off dealing with a known enemy than a friend who is a snake.
Life is too short to think about what people think about you, always live your life on your own terms. Some of us were written off way before we started living there is nothing this world has not thrown at us that we haven't returned to sender. We have been made fun of for wearing tattered clothes, they have mocked us for having poor parents. Learn to know that the world will never stop taking aim at you, you are not special in any way.
Learn to tell people that you owe them no explanation for your choices in life; and since none of us will live forever, learn to stay happy as you wait for your death.
