(Photo/citizentv.co.ke)Former Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) nominated MP Isaac Mwaura has asked NASA leader Raila Odinga to quit active politics.Mwaura who unsuccessfully contested for the Ruiru Parliamentary seat in the August 8 general election argues that Raila will not ascend to the presidency no matter how he tries.
Mwaura wants Raila to save his energy on something else because he was not destined to be president.
Speaking during an interview on NTV's AM LiVe show on Tuesday, Mwaura said that Raila has been rejected by Kenyans in his bid to be president and should accept and move on.He said that the former Prime Minister (PM) is fighting losing battles noting that his political tactics are to blame for his failures.Mwaura also claimed that Raila's close allies and associates have made him a loser for the several times he has contested in the presidential election."Raila Odinga has exhausted his political time and he should retire and focus on other things in his life," he said.Mwaura said that Raila is struggling to remain relevant claiming that the ODM leader is now using unconstitutional tactics to win political sympathy.The former Raila ally who ditched ODM and Joined Jubilee before losing in his bid for the Ruiru seat in the August 8 polls, said that Raila's tactics will not work.He warned the former Prime Minister against fighting a legitimately elected government.Mwaura at the same time poked holes into Raila's planned swearing-in terming it a waste of time.The former MP asked Raila to stop embarrassing himself and his supporters by engaging in unconstitutional activities.
