[Photo: PSCU] NASA co-principal Isaac Ruto move to join the opposition was a 'suicidal move' and the last nail in his political coffin that saw him lose his Bomet gubernatorial seat.Bomet newly elected governor and former National Assembly Deputy Speaker Dr Joyce Laboso has said that Ruto stood no chance with his Chama Cha Mashinani party in a region that is widely considered a Jubilee zone."It was a suicidal move and a miscalculation but again it was the best thing for us. But had he supported Jubilee with his party that is where a bit of a challenge would have come in but I would still have won on a development platform," Laboso told Jeff Koinange Live show on Wednesday. She noted that Ruto had nothing to show for the Sh20 billion the county had received for over four years and that is where she would have beaten him. However, Suba North MP elect Millie Odhiambo disagreed that Rutto's move was suicidal saying that she admires his style of 'principled politics'."Ruto is consistent with principle. Sometimes elections are not about winning or losing, it is about what you believe in. I admire Ruto greatly, not because he is one of NASA's principals, but because he's one very principled politician and even as we take road 2022, you can't afford to ignore him," Odhiambo said.
