Kwale Woman Representative Zainab Chidzuga has urged women across the country to back President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election in August.Chidzuga said women stand to benefit from President Kenyatta’s administration if he is re-elected in the August 8 polls.Addressing women in Kwale Town on Thursday, Chidzuga said it is only the Jubilee government that has the interests of Kenyan women at heart.The Woman Representative cautioned women against voting for the National Super Alliance (NASA), claiming the opposition leaders don’t have respect and value for women.“It will be a mistake if we (women) end up supporting NASA because their leaders don’t have respect or value for women,” she added.Chidzuga said Uhuru’s administration has been at the forefront of championing for women rights and welfare in the last four years.She said women have been empowered through various initiatives and programmes initiated by the Jubilee administration.The Women Rep also challenged women to spearhead unity and peace. “As women we must take the initiative and champion for peaceful August polls,” she said.Chidzuga noted that women are the ones who suffer the most during chaos urging them to stand against any form of political or social violence.
