The fourth round of AK games that were planned for the end of this year might be pushed to next year, since the event is close to Christmas and the New Year.

According to Athletics Kenya (AK) vice-president Paul Mutwii, they might be forced to push it to next year, even though it will be a packed year.

“We are having a problem with the event because it’s very close to Christmas and New Year. We are trying to see when the meet can be done. I would also like to remind the athletes that the cross country meets are ongoing. So they should also put that into consideration,” Mutwii who was the chief guest at the second meeting in Kisii told Citizen.

The games., which are scheduled for Machakos were planned for the December 29 and 30.

The VP advised the athletes to ensure they check for their games’ accreditation before next year’s Commonwealth games.

“The Commonwealth Games Local Organising Committee rejected some of the forms we sent. We have instructed the officer dealing with the forms at Riadha House to get in touch with the affected athletes so that they can rectify the mistakes,” said Mutwii.
