Tana River Governor Hussein Dado has dismissed reports by a section of the media indicating that he has regrets ditching Wiper Democratic Movement Party for Jubilee Party.
Addressing a public rally at ASA Kone earlier in the week, the County chief exuded confidence that he would recapture his seat during the August polls, maintaining that Jubilee Party is the right political vehicle for him.
He further lashed out at the Opposition alliance NASA, claiming that the outfit lacks direction for failure to declare its presidential candidate.
“I will go around the county to notify the electorate that I am no longer in the Opposition that is facing wrangles from within," he noted.
“My key mandate will be to popularise Jubilee in Tana River and campaign for President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election and my bid to retain my seat on a Jubilee ticket," he added.
Governor Dado announced his defection from the Kalonzo Musyoka-led Party on March 15 in Mombasa, where he was officially received in Jubilee by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.
