Nakuru County Governor Lee Kinyanjui will take longer to name his cabinet, sources have said.
According to the County Public Service Board Chairman Waithanji Mutiti, the board is yet to complete scrutinizing names of 90 people who were interviewed for the cabinet positions last week.
"The participants were many and that is why it has taken long to conclude examining the interviews,"he said.
Mutiti assured the process will be transparent and no irregularities will be involved in the process.
"The process is competitive. No bribes will be demanded from those who will be named to the cabinet. The cabinet will have the face of Nakuru county without discrimination,"he added.
He noted that once the scrutiny is done, the governor will name the cabinet and table the names before the assembly for vetting and approval.
