Machakos governor DrAlfred Mutua is unhappy that opposition chief Raila Odinga is going to be sworn in as the people's president on January 30.

Mutua said 'inaugurating' another president only spells anarchy for the country that is presently enjoying relative peace.

"I am tired and so are many Kenyans, of the shenanigans by politicians who are bent on holding our country at ransom so that they can get a piece of the cake they want. As a Nation, we must begin to ask ourselves some fundamental questions about the direction we want our Country to go," he told a press conference at his office on Friday.

"The talk about swearing in is not only bad for us a nation but also retrogressive in our efforts to market Kenya as an investment hub. No serious investor will pump in billion of shillings into a country said to have two Presidents. Any talks about a second, so called people’s president, spells uncertainty and discord in the country, and will chase away any investor previously keen on Kenya."

Raila and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka are expected to be 'sworn in' on January 30 at Uhuru Park despite oposition fromthe Jubilee administration.

The Nairobi county government ha already suspended all activities at Uhuru Park pending renovation of the social facility.

"Our youth will continue to suffer with no jobs and the poor will only get poorer. Kenya is already on record as having sworn in a President and Commander in Chief of the Defence Forces and his Deputy as per the Kenyan Constitution and the ruling of the Supreme Court," Mutua said.

Attempts and/or illegal swearing in of another “president” can only serve to plant seeds of violence and civil war. This is how many African nations are divided, for the sake of a few who want to ascend to power."
