All the 46 county bosses are set to tour Makueni County this July.
The governors are expected to study successful public participation approach as they seek to transform their respective counties.
Speaking of his county's participatory approach in Makueni on Thursday, Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana said the tour will be a great opportunity for his colleagues to learn several things about development.
“We are happy that many counties are coming to Makueni to benchmark, this is very positive. We believe that each county has a story to tell about devolution and that is why we are opening our doors to host this momentous forum,” Kibwana said.
Kibwana said the governors are very conscious to ensure that they transform their regions before they complete their terms in office.
He hailed Meru and Kisumu counties' leadership for their different projects aimed at bettering the lives of the residents.
“Meru is on top when it comes to the creation of various parastatals to undertake certain roles for the government and we will be in Meru next month to learn a few things from their success stories. The county bosses from all the counties have pledged to work together to take development to the next level before leaving office," Kibwana concluded.
