South African jazz maestro breathed his last after a spirited struggle against prostate cancer according to family sources.The President of the Republic of Kenya led Kenyans in mourning the anti-apartheid legend and talented crooner. He tweeted: ''May God rest his soul in peace and may he grant all who knew and loved him the courage to bear the loss. May Hugh Masekela rest in perpetual light.''Hugh Masekela visited Kenya in 2016 during a Safaricom event.When he visited, he revealed his love and adoration of Kenya.''I have been coming to Kenya for over 20 years now. It is one of the most wonderful places on the continent. The people are hospitable,'' he said when he visited the country.
