Mavoko MP Patrick Makau has exuded confidence of wining another term with a huge margin in the August 8 general election.

Speaking during a campaign tour of Athi-River on Friday, the Wiper MP dismissed rivals seeking to send him home, saying they have no agenda for the people.

Makau said that he has performed as MP for the period he has served, adding that he deserves another term to initiate more development projects.

The MP said that the state of education in the constituency has improved under his leadership.

He also said that Mavoko has been voted among the best constituencies in terms of prudent utilization of Constituency Development Funds (CDF).

Makau added that his leadership has created job opportunities for thousands of unemployed youth. “I have performed and that is why I am begging residents to give me another term,” the MP said.

He cautioned locals against aspirants peddling propaganda against his leadership. He said that rivals are envious of his work and want to discredit his re-election bid.

The MP claimed that some of his competitors are failures who cannot be trusted with leadership. Makau is facing stiff competition in his re-election bid from former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndile who is vying on Jubilee Party ticket.
