Korane, a former Permanent Secretary (PS) promised to spearhead economic growth, create jobs, empowerment marginalized groups, promote access to healthcare and water if he is elected.
The former PS also promised to champion infrastructure development, security, agriculture through creation of dams for irrigation and also champion unity among residents.
“I am the person you need as governor and if elected I will focus on projects that will empower residents economically,” he said as quoted by the Standard.
Korane criticized incumbent Nathif Jama claiming that the wiper governor has been sleeping on his job.
He claimed that jama cannot account for all the money he has been receiving from the national government.
Korane accused Jama’s government of allegedly tolerating graft and misuse of public resources.
The former PS is vying the seat on Jubilee Party ticket and says that he will send Jama home by 8 am.
Jama on the other hand exudes confidence of rating the seat saying that his development track record speaks for itself.
