Addressing residents at Nyanguru on Sunday during the fund drive of 22 churches from Nyaribari Chache, the Deputy county boss said that the national government has achieved much that needs to be appreciated and supported.

Ironically Maangi told residents the upgrading of Kisii Teaching and referral hospital was the achievement of National government unlike the reports from county government which indicates that the upgrading was done by Kisii county government under the leadership of Governor James Ongwae.

"We want to be realistic by saying what the National Government has done, for instance, the work at KTRH is their work not county Government," he said.

"The National Government allocated Sh750 Million which helped in the upgrading of the hospital up to Level six, let us stop blackmailing people that the work was done by county government," he added.

Maangi who was expelled from ODM party for associating with Jubilee vowed to continue working with them in fostering development.

By mentioning a few the Deputy also highlighted other projects which have been initiated by National Government for example Nyaguta TTC which is expected to commence at the end of the year, Ibeno Medical Center which is under construction, schools being connected with electricity, the upgrading of Daraja Mbili market, the installation of street lights and the construction of roads.

"Because of this projects and much more from the national government I cannot be intimidated and stopped from working with the government for the goodness of my people," Maangi said.

Maangi was among the ten ODM members who were expelled for their associating with the Jubilee administration.
