Former Premier Raila Odinga has revealed why he fiercely attacked President Uhuru Kenyatta in a series of tweets on Wednesday.
In an interview on Citizen TV, the opposition chief said, Kenyatta, was hitting below the belt by personalising is politics.
Raila was speaking following calls from Uhuru and Ruto's calls for him to retire from politics and that they would even bring him a bowl of porridge in Bondo if he did so.
“It's unfortunate that their responses have been too personalised. Some of them I would say hitting below the belt the extent that I think that a contempt card is the best response rather than trying to dignify it,” Odinga stated.
“There is what you call in politics hitting below the line, Somebody hits you where you're not supposed to be touched so you use your contempt card and you can respond to them through the social media because that’s where there also hitting at you,” he added.
Odinga further claimed that Kenyatta was creating “Raila Phobia” in Central Kenya to fire up the residents against him.
