Machakos governor Dr. Alfred Mutua has said he trounced Ukambani political point man Kalonzo Musyoka on August 8. The Maendeleo Chap Chap boss stated that the gubernatorial race that he won was not against Wavinya Ndeti but NASA deputy presidential candidate Kalonzo Musyoka. The former Wiper member confirmed that his victory is a strong message to Kamba’s veteran politician.
“This election was not between me and Madam Wavinya but rather between me and Kalonzo Musyoka,” Mutua said as he addressed followers outside his office.
Mutua and Kalonzo have both shown interest in the presidency come 2022. This and the decision to ditch Wiper and form Maendeleo Chap Chap outfit has made them political foes.
Mutua also criticized Wavinya and said he floored her because she was a sycophant. He said that development has won against sycophancy in reference to Wiper’s poor primaries and Kalonzo’s move to support Wavinya.
“We won because we wanted to show development was more important than sycophancy,” Mutua added.
