Ababu said that he is a major shareholder in the party given the massive investment he has pumped in the party, hence he remains a member.

Ababu who spoke on Sunday at a rally in Bungoma said he contributed a lot of money to the party from his salary compared to other members.

“I am the highest contributor to the party's kitty. I have invested in ODM, and I have shares in the party and that should not be taken lightly,” said Namwamba.

Namwamba also took his time to hit out at ODM politicians calling for his immediate exit from the party.

“Don’t threaten me to leave ODM. I have quit my position but still a member to battle with those asking me to quit. Am still in the party until I plan my future,” he added.

Last week, Ababu declared in public his resignation as ODM Secretary general stating that he took the decision after feeling his leadership was being undermined.
