Ex- Meru governor Peter Munya has finally opened up on why he left Opposition coalition NASA just a week after being introduced as the the outfit's sixth principal.
In an interview with Meru FM on Tuesday, the PNU party leader noted that President Uhuru Kenyatta had prevailed upon him to campaign for his reelection.
He further asserted that a number of Meru elders approached him urging him to dump the Opposition.
"When I met him (President Kenyatta) at State House he told me we should resolve our differences, which are local, on our own without affecting his re-election bid," he said.
"It is only a fool who cannot change his mind. I changed my stance after only one week in NASA after some elders talked sense into me," he added.
Munya also observed that the Jubilee administration had initiated tangible development projects in his county.
