Maendeleo Chap Chap leader Alfred Mutua has said that he respects Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka because he is descent.
The Machakos county boss, who fell out with the former vice president, said that he has nothing personal against Kalonzo also National Super Alliance (NASA) Deputy President, adding that they only differ when it comes to ideologies.
“I respect Kalonzo, he is a decent man. My differences with him are purely ideological,” Mutua said, as quoted by Star.
The lawmaker however launched a scathing attack on Kalonzo’s party saying that it has no agenda for the people of this nation.
The county boss said that the top brass of the party only concentrated on cutting out some leaders including himself instead of coming up with policies to benefit the people.
“I can say without fear of contradiction the meetings were usually used as forums to cut other leaders down to size,” Mutua added.
Mutua and Kalonzo have been at loggerheads for sometime. The differences between the two leaders forced the governor to walk away from Wiper party to form the new political outfit on which he is seeking re-election.
In the quest to send Mutua home, Kalonzo opted for former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti who has been cleared to contest for the seat.
