Ndeti, who spoke during an exclusive interview with a local daily, said that she wants to correct the mistakes made by the incumbent Governor Dr Alfred Mutua.
She pledges to adopt a model that will take care of the interests of the people once upon her election.
“I want to change the lives of the people of Machakos County by rolling out a development model that is responsive to the wishes and aspirations of the electorate and which fully involves wananchi on the journey to transform our county,” she said.
Ndeti, who defected from Chama Cha Uzalendo upon Kalonzo request to join Wiper, affirmed that she will beat Mutua hands down. The vocal lawmaker said that the current leadership has not kept its promises, adding that it does not deserve another term in office. She also pledged to ensure that residents benefit from devolution if she takes over power.
“The guiding principle of devolution is taking resources closer to the people, establishing a dialogue with the people to know what specific needs they want to be addressed and committing resources to execute the projects,” she added.
