Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has said that she will work with President Uhuru Kenyatta because they share the same agenda.
Speaking during Kitui Teachers Training College’s sixth graduation, Ngilu said that the current regime is geared towards developing the nation, adding that she will back the national government in her capacity as the county boss in Kitui.
“I am going to work hand in hand with President Uhuru Kenyatta because his administration is spearheading a development agenda which is similar to mine,” Ngilu said.
She further noted that the current government is determined towards improving the welfare of the people.
“I stand for food and water, security, universal healthcare, youth and women empowerment and wealth creation which is basically what forms the Jubilee government’s agenda for Kenyans,” added the county boss who was elected on her Narc Kenya party ticket which supported NASA
She also urged other leaders in the nation to back her in the fight to conserve trees after she issued a warning against logging in the county.
The governor has been on spot over her remarks against charcoal burning but has maintained that she will not look back in the fight to conserve the trees in the region.
