[Photo|KBC]Commissioners at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) are scheduled for a two-day retreat in Naivasha, starting Sunday September 10.Reports indicate the retreat, led by chairman Wafula Chebukati, will see the bosses deliberate on how best to conduct the fresh presidential election slated for October 17.The electoral body which has been facing differences and infights amongst the seven Commissioners after the Supreme Court nullified August 8 presidential election, will as well possibly use the meeting to settle their disagreement. After the nullification of the election by the Supreme Court, Chebukati made changes to the Commission, by appointing six staff to a project of three months, with aim to oversee the upcoming polls. He excluded CEO Ezra Chiloba, and further sent him a memo, demanding answers over what exactly happened in the August elections, that led to the nullification of the presidential election. The memo leaked to the public, a move that saw five commissioners led by Vice Chairperson Consolata Nkatha dismiss it, straining the relationship in the electoral agency.
