The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has given a reason why they rejected the application by Independent Presidential aspirant Joseph Nyagah.
IEBC on Sunday said that Nyagah's application failed to meet the bar after he attached a banker's cheque of Sh250 000 instead of the required Sh200 000.
Trouble was not over yet after IEBC noted that Nyagah's running mate failed to provide a signed code of conduct as required.
However, Nyagah's dream still has hopes after the commission's chairperson Wafula Chebukati extended him the opportunity for clearance once again today Monday when five others are set to appear before the Commission.
But a comical Nyagah later joked that it was only a public relations stunt that IEBC were pulling to put him in the spotlight.
“If they had given us another five minutes, we’d have remedied the situation,” Nyagah said.
