Senator Mike Mbuvi alias Sonko has affirmed that he is the right candidate to take over power from incumbent Dr Evans Kidero because he will transform the lives of residents.
In a statement released to the newsroom, the senator pledged to fight corruption once he ascends to power. “I shall not entertain any form of corruption,” he said.
He also noted that the county of Nairobi has been losing a lot of funds through corrupt officials whereas the residents continue to languish in abject poverty.
He further said that he will not leave any stone unturned if he is given the chance to become the next county boss.
The senator, who floored Formed Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth during Jubilee nominations, pointed out that infrastructure, garbage and insecurity are among the issues that have hampered development in this area.
He faulted the current leadership for doing little to change the lives of the residents since it took over power despite receiving a lot of money from the national government.
“When you look at the state of the roads, garbage and insecurity issues you wonder why the county government is always crying that the Treasury has failed to allocate funds while in reality the services they purport to deliver are not commensurate to the funds allocated to the county,” said that flamboyant Senator.
