Veteran politician Koigi Wa Wamwere has remained mum at a time when he is known to speak harder and louder.

The former Subukia lawmaker has maintained his silence as the nation plunges into political trouble and puzzle.

The political activist is yet to speak on his ally and opposition chief Raila Odinga's January 30 controversial inauguration.

Odinga was sworn in as the people's president, an event that has led to a collission between the opposition and the state, with the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led government terming the inauguration unconstitutional.

Koigi is also yet to speak on the ongoing series of arrests of opposition leaders and strategists, a repercussion of the inauguration, a situation he can directly relate to.

He also faced state arrest he challenged Kanu government in the 80s and 90s.

The vocal leader, who is known for posting long Facebook statements on his page, touching on political happenings, is also silent on media shut down by the state.
