Jomo Kenyatta dynasty may after all be extended in many years to come following the recent introduction of Jaba Kenyatta, Uhuru Kenyatta’s second born to politics.
In a rare show of events, Deputy President William Ruto addressed a crowd in Nandi over the weekend in company of Uhuru’s son.
And former North Mugirango MP Charles Geni says the latest development aims at prolonging the Kenyatta dynasty in the political arena.
“Making such appearance communicates a lot and I am seeing the young man groomed to join politics. It will be an extension of Kenyatta dynasty.
“Just like the Moi’s, we are likely to see or hear of Jomo Kenyatta in many years to come. It is normal and the young man could join politics soon,” he said.
Unlike Uhuru, his main competitor, Raila Odinga, may after all not have any immediate family member in politics should he retire from politics.
Early this year, Odinga had introduced his daughter, Rosemary, only for her to drop out due to an illness that has kept her out of public limelight.
Also, Odinga’s sister, Ruth Odinga, bolted out of Kisumu governorship race in favour of Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o despite maintaining that she was going to run.
