Up to 70, 000 volunteers and 200 officials of the Jubilee party have been sent home.
The lot was shed off from the party ranks without a single shilling - they went home empty handed!
To make matters worse, the lot received communication on Kenya's badass month; January!
Sources at the Parklands, Jubilee's headquarters, said communication was done on January 9 after officials returned from December merry making.
Among officials sacked are members of the secretariat, county coordinators, and senior directors.
The party's secretary general Raphael Tuju said his outfit had to shed off excess bargage.
"“We have to cut our cloth according to our size. We want to hire and we will do that according to our needs,” said Tuju.
The party's strategists, however, believe there is need for a shift in mindset among those involved in the party's activities as it shapes for 2022.
"You must have people you share the dream with completely. There should be no friction at any level," a source told this writer.
The strategy, we learnt, is to have more pro-DP William Ruto breathing life into the vehicle he plans to use in 2022.
"The objective of the other team was to steer Uhuru's journey to a second term. This is a totally different mission, it might require a new blood, mindset and even execution," the source said.
