Mbai said Kalonzo is politically defeated and no longer has influence.

Speaking to journalists in Kitui on Saturday, the Jubilee MP asked Kalonzo to quit politics and endorse Governor Charity Ngilu as the Kamba political kingpin.

“Kalonzo Musyoka should stop lying to himself and accept the fact that he no longer appeals politically,” Mbai said.

The MP said Kalonzo’s 2022 presidential ambition is a dream that will not materialize.

He said the former Vice President blundered politically when he started associating with opposition leaders.

Mbai said Ukambani does not need Kalonzo's advise moving forward.

“Ukambani needs fresh people and new political ideas and I think governor Ngilu fits to push the Kamba agenda moving forward,” Mbai said.

The MP said he respects Kalonzo but the former Vice President should quit for the interest of the Kamba community.

Kalonzo is among top politicians who have declared interests in the 2022 presidential seat.

Last week, Kalonzo revealed plans to re-brand his Wiper Party ahead of the 2022 general election.
