The much-anticipated Jubilee party nominations might end up a sham after a series of shifting goal posts by the party’s leaders.
All the promises President Kenyatta and his deputy made during the launch of the party have so far been watered down leaving straight guesses into the outcome of the nominations.
To lure its members and convince them that party primaries will be clean devoid of the usual hooliganism and rigging, President Kenyatta assured members that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries and Commission (IEBC) will oversee the exercise.
That is however not the case at the moment. IEBC rejected such a task.
Another reason for Jubilee aspirants to worry is the abolition of the highly-taunted Jubilee smart cards.
They will no longer be used. In short, Jubilee nominations will just be like the previous nominations done in TNA and URP in 2013.
Many aspirants lamented how they were edged out through dubious means.
