Starehe MP Maina Kamanda has warned that Jubilee Party could lose out on all seats within Nairobi to the opposition during the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking to the press on Monday, the legislator accused the party's top leadership of overseeing shambolic primaries in Nairobi, claiming that there was a plot to rig him out.
"I do not understand why the party leadership allowed nominations to be conducted with IDs only, yet other parties were using their member registers. This is where the rain started beating us," he noted.
"At this rate, Jubilee party is losing grip on the city. It is upon the party leadership to re-strategise on how they want us to run city politics if at all they want to win a single seat," he added.
The MP was controversially declared winner of the Jubilee Party ticket in Starehe Constituency.
Officials announced that the lawmaker had garnered 10,374 votes, against musician Charles Njagua also known as Jaguar's 8, 391 votes.
The announcement sparked chaos and violence within the constituency.
The two candidates are currently awaiting a verdict from the party over the contested results.
