Jubilee strategist Washington Makodingo has drafted a Bill seeking the expunging of four counties from the rest of the country.

According to Makodingo, Article 5 of the constitution should be amended to reexplore Kenya's territory and subsequent exclusion of the counties which include Kisumu, Homa Bay, Siaya and Migori.

He argues that constituents of the four counties have already expressed interest in seceding from the rest of the country.

"The objective of this Bill is, therefore, to amend the constitution to grant these residents their wish by excluding them from the territory of the Republic of Kenya," he opined.

Makodingo's Bill comes in the backdrop of another one by Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma seeking to split the country into two; the People's Republic and the Central Republic.

Unlike Makodingo's Bill, Kaluma wants 40 out of the 47 counties to form the People's Republic of Kenya.

The lawmaker contends that these counties have been openly discriminated against by past regimes.
