Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka's Presidential bid has been handed a major boost following an endorsement by key Ukambani leaders.
In a meeting at St Mathews secondary school in Emali on Tuesday, the leaders vowed to back Kalonzo in his bid for the nomination as NASA presidential flag bearer.
The leaders noted that Kalonzo is the most best suited candidate for the NASA presidential ticket, challenging the coalition's leaders to end second fiddle treatment of Kalonzo.
"With what we have started today, our friends in NASA should now be prepared to support Kalonzo as the presidential flag bearer," Kitui Senator David Musila noted.
His sentiments were reiterated by Nairobi Deputy Governor Jonathan Mueke and Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana who vowed to rally behind Musyoka's candidature.
"We have agreed to work together to give Kalonzo the strength he requires to win NASA's flag bearer," Mueke said.
"We have made a declaration today that we will speak with one voice and rally behind Kalonzo Musyoka," governor Kibwana declared.
ODM Party leader Raila Odinga, Ford Kenya's Moses Wetangula and ANC'S Musalia Mudavadi are also gunning for the NASA ticket.
The alliance is yet to settle on a presidential candidate.
