The Ntional Super Alliance coalition has been having a lot of in-house wrangles and disagreements which then always moved to solve behind the public eye.
Even after the Principals Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula failed to join Raila Odinga during his 30th Jan swearing in, they still met, talked and came out to declare their unity before the public.
However, since the meeting between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, they have come out to prove a sharp rift into the coalition that has culminated in ousting of Moses Wetangula as senate minority leader and replaced by James Orengo.
Even after all this issues of Raila betraying them and ODM party sidelining other parties, the three principals are still holding onto the coalition. Here is why:
They fear losing political relevance. NASA coalition has come a long way to build a large political capital for the principals and their parties and they might be afraid that dissolving it will lower their political stamina and make it hard to start all over again.
They are hoping Raila will make a turn around. The three NASA principals are yet to come to terms with really conspired between President Uhuru an Raila. They still feel angry and shaken up. They are holding to hopes that something might happen to bring Raila and ODM back to NASA and continue with business as usual.
They are aiming at having parallel talks with President Uhuru. The NASA principals had come out previously to seek the attention of President Uhuru Kenyatta. They might be looking forward to meeting President Uhuru so that they can table their own offer and see what the president has to offer them.
