Kalonzo skipped the Nasa swearing-in function
This has been a major topic in the NASA house and many supporters have branded Kalonzo a coward including MPs and some of the Nasa leaders. Because of this, Kalonzo seems to have lost the trust of many 'Nasarites'.
Kalonzo, therefore, needs to do a lot to win back the trust he had before.
Maendeleo Chap Chap Party entry
The leader of the party and Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua has declared his interest to run for the top seat. Kalonzo will, therefore, have to out-do Mutua so as to enjoy the full support of the Eastern region.
Raila Odinga's presidential ambitions
Kalonzo supported the ODM party leader in 2013 and 2017 presidential elections respectively. Wiper party expects the support of the former prime minister when their time comes which they believe it is 2022.
However, this can remain a mare dream since ODM party has been quoted saying it might have to go alone come 2022 general elections.
