A combination of Deputy President William Ruto and the former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo can make a perfect match and automatically guaranteed entry to State House.
The two leaders are no longer fierce rivals.
Kalonzo Musyoka can make a good deputy. From history, Kalonzo Musyoka has served very well in big state offices as both a cabinet minister and assistant minister. Either, Kalonzo has also served as the Vice President during the grand coalition government.
It is unclear on who will deputize DP Ruto come 2022. So, it is upon Kalonzo to focus on the competition and predict his ability comparatively to DP Ruto and other esteemed competitors. Should he conclude that he cannot make it, Kalonzo should convince DP Ruto to make him his deputy.
Analytically, for Kalonzo to triumph over DP Ruto, he needs a lot of support and endorsement from his allies, Raila Odinga being the first one.If at all Kalonzo Musyoka is not going to seek for a perfect combination like striking a deal with DP Ruto, then he will end up looking for Gideon Moi to deputize him.
He also has another option of making Musalia Mudavadi his deputy; but yet again, it is unlikely since Mudavadi is also eyeing for the top seat with his ANC party ticket.
