National Super Alliance co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka risks losing land worth millions if President Uhuru Kenyatta’s directive to repossess land illegally acquired from the National Youth Service is implemented.

On Thursday, Uhuru said that his government will not tolerate persons who grabbed land belonging to the public.

He spoke during a brief tour of the NYS textile and garment technology institute in Nairobi.

“Land previously owned by NYS will be returned to the institution for active programmes that will help the youth in employment. The State will put all resources at its disposal to ensure that NYS succeeds in this,” the President said.

The former vice President has been put on the spotlight for months of the land allegedly belonging to the NYS.

The Wiper leader has, however, maintained that he did not grab the said land.

On November 30, 2016, Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua asked the Senate committee on County Public Accounts and Investments to investigate Kalonzo after he accused him of grabbing 500 acres of NYS land in Yatta, Machakos.

The second term government also wrote a letter to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and National Land Commission (NLC). Kalonzo is said to have colluded with former Lands Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu, now Kitui Governor, to grab the land.
