The loss, among other recorded losses, experienced by Wiper in an area that was viewed as its stronghold. At the moment MCC, has other seats in Parliament as well the County government. On the other hand, Wiper has parliamentary seats in Matungulu, Kathiani, Masinga, Mavoko, Women Rep as well as in the County government.

However, the wrangles between Kalonzo and Mutua has led to the infiltration of other parties in the area. Parties like Jubilee and Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) have elected leaders in the area. This means that the 2022 presidential ambitions of both Kalonzo and Mutua can be dented with the infiltration of such parties in their strongholds.

The two leaders should quash their beef and resort to working with one another for 2022 elections. Their collaboration can ensure they clinch most seats in the area and the neighbouring counties like Kitui and Makueni.

Kalonzo's National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition is experiencing wrangles at the moment with the coalition's future unity unknown. Kalonzo should thus take this time to forge other pacts with other political parties in a bid to liven up his 2022 presidential hopes.

If Kalonzo fails to control his backyard, then Kenyans may also fail to entrust him with the country's leadership by not voting for him. At NASA, the principals have expressed their wish of leading the country in forthcoming election and this means Kalonzo will face a stiff competition of gaining the coalition's presidential ticket.

To avoid this, Kalonzo should work with Mutua in forming a formidable coalition with Mutua and taking the time to properly marketing their coalition's agenda in solving the challenges being experienced by Kenyans at the moment.
