NASA co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka is a man under political siege, political analyst Peter Ngure has said.Ngure noted that Kalonzo’s political dreams and more so his bid for 2022 was dealt a major blow on Monday when the Supreme Court upheld President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win in the October 26 repeat poll.Ngure argued that Kalonzo is the biggest loser in the 2017 presidential elections.According to the Kiambu-based analyst, Kalonzo has a huge task ahead if he intends to remain politically active.Ngure said the Wiper leader’s future in NASA remains uncertain, adding that he is not guaranteed of Raila Odinga’s support in 2022.“Kalonzo was the biggest political loser in the whole election process and it will be hard for him to revive himself,” said Ngure during an interview on Tuesday.Ngure opined that chances of NASA leader Raila contesting for presidency in 2022 are high.“I don’t see Raila Odinga going away anytime soon and he could make a surprise move in 2022,” he said.Ngure said the only option Kalonzo is left with is to quit the opposition. The analyst argued that the former Vice President will not gain much if he insists on clinging to NASA.“Kalonzo has to make a decision that will revive him politically, remaining with Raila might not be an option for him now,” he added.A section of Kamba politicians is continuing to pile pressure on Kalonzo to ditch NASA, saying he is wasting time in the opposition coalition.
