Kalonzo Musyoka, Musali Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula’s absence at the Uhuru Park grounds during the swearing in of Raila Odinga was the highlight of the event.
The trio totally skipped the event without a clear explanation of their actions and has since received a backlash from their own supporters and Kenyans in general.
In the midst of all that, Musyoka seems to have lost more, as his 2022 ambitions seem to have hit a snag after the skip.
According to some leaders from the coalition, Musyoka will not have the moral authority to ask Odinga to support him in 20220According to Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala, their actions will come to bite them in future.
“Kalonzo cannot tell us about 2022 when he could not stand with Raila at the time he needed him most, Kenyans should remain steadfast with Raila,” he said.
Other leaders within the coalition have also lashed out at the three, with others calling them cowards who developed cold feet at the last minute.
ODM party Chair and National Assembly Minority Leader John Mbaddi said as a party said they will be reviewing their relationship with the parties led by the trio.
“There is no cure for cowards…a coward will always remain a coward. Those who were brace made it to Uhuru Park,” he said.
