Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua, who has been mentored by Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, presidential dream will hang in balance if Cord Raila Amolo Odinga beats President Uhuru Kenyatta in the forthcoming general elections. The county boss has affirmed that he will rally the electorate behind President Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto until they retain power. Mutua’s dream to become the next Ukambani political kingpin will be dented if the National Super Alliance (NASA) takes over leadership since Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka will become stronger. Mutua and Kalonzo have been at loggerheads since he walked away from Wiper citing frustration from the party’s top brass. The governor is hoping against hope that the opposition loses in order to weaken the support base of the former vice president. The governor has also been opposing the leadership former prime minister and his team terming them as a collection of leaders without an agenda for this nation. The lawmaker will be forced to go back to the drawing board to determine his next best move for political survival. As much as Mutua has been credited for initiating various projects in his backyard, he will find it hard to control the region of the opposition takes over leadership.
