Senator Enoch Wambua has asked diplomats not to meddle in the political affairs of this nation.
Speaking during an interview with The Standard Digital Entertainment, Wambua said that the diplomats should give Kenyans a chance to decide on their leadership of this nation.
He argued that the foreign diplomats have been attempting to interfere with the will of the Kenyan citizen by allegedly supporting the re-election of the current regime.
He called upon the diplomats from foreign nations to apologize for being vocal on matters of the county yet they have little knowledge about the will of the people.“The diplomats must have the presence of mind to appreciate that Kenyans need home-grown solutions to political challenges we face today. They cannot begin to posture as the champions of dialogue to resolve a crisis they participated in brewing, he said, as quoted by SDE.
The vocal senator added: “Western envoys must in particular first apologise to Kenyans for according the credibility of the election long before the electoral body itself did.”
The remarks of the senator were echoed by Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka who said that diplomats have not backed Uhuru second term in office as claimed.
