Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka's plan to re-brand Wiper Party to One Kenya Movement (OKM) that could be his gateway to State House in 2022.

Last week Kalonzo hinted on re-branding Wiper Party, a move that is timely ahead of the much anticipated 2022 general election's.

Musyoka has twice shelved his presidential ambitions in support of ODM leader Raila Odinga.

The Wiper leader who is under pressure to quit NASA might have found a vehicle that could see him succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.

According to sources, Kalonzo is serious on OKM and it is amatter of time before he officially launches the new outfit.

Former Machakos senator Johnson Muthama says that Ukambani leaders have agreed on the new outfit and Kalonzo now plans to sale the idea to the rest of the country.

"He (Kalonzo Musyoka) is serious to see a united country that respects the rule of law and OKM could be the vehicle ahead of 2022," Muthama was quoted saying recently.

Muthama said that Konzo is not banking on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) he signed with Raila Odinga in 2017.

The former senator said that the 2017 election cycle and memoranda ended and that is time for politicians to realign and seek partnerships ahead of 2022.

Muthama went on to reveal that Konzo could seek President Uhuru Kenyatta's endorsement for 2022.

He said that the former Vice President has a long history of friendship with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Last week, a section of Kamba leaders endorsed Kalonzo for presidency in 2022.

The leaders said that Kalonzo remains the Kamba community political king-pin.

Kalonzo's bid however hangs in the balance as Machako's governor Alfted Mutua also eyes the top seat in 2022.

Mutua has rubbished Kalonzo's endorsement for presidency by a section of Kamba leaders.
