Former Labour Cabinet Secretary Kazungu Kambi has affirmed that he is the right candidate to replace Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi.
Speaking during a rally at Karisa Maitha Grounds, Kambi pledged to change the lives of the residents once he ascends to power.The aspirant promised to improve infrastructure and health among other sector once he takes over leadership from Kingi, a close ally of Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho.He assured residents he will oversee the construction of 300km roads as well as provide health facilities with modern equipment for better service delivery if elected come August.He also noted that infrastructure plays an immense role in economic development, adding that the current government has not done much towards the same.“All these will be geared towards spurring economic growth because infrastructure is the catalyst of economic growth all over the world,” he stated, as quoted by The Star.Kambi will however have to pitch tents in different parts of the county in a bid to dethrone Kingi who is Raila Odinga’s point man in Kilifi.
