Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has asked Kenyans from different part of the nation to back former prime Raila Amolo Odinga for presidency ahead of the August polls.
According to Mudavadi, the National Super Alliance (NASA) Government under the leadership of Raila will resolve political injustices, strengthen devolved governance, change leaders from master to servant of the common mwananchi, and create employment as well as eradicate poverty.
The former deputy President also said that the alliance was not formed because of the desire to share power but to save this nation from poor leadership.
“We did not form NASA for specific persons to ascend to power. NASA carries the aspirations of Kenyans to live in peace and unity. We intend to build a just and prosperous country. Our vow has been to put Kenya first ahead of our personal, political, party or ethnic interests,“ he said in a statement released to the newsroom.
Meanwhile, leaders from Ukambani have expressed their dissatisfaction after NASA named Raila flag bearer. Led by National Assembly Minority Leader Francis Nyenze, the leaders claim that Kalonzo was shortchanged.
The leaders also argue that the former prime minister is taking their Kamba community for a ride, which they are not ready to tolerate anymore.
