[Photo|The Star]Kiambu Deputy Governor James Nyoro demands to have an office that fits his 'global status' could have led his boss to lock his office.Nyoro is reported to have refused to take over the office of former Deputy Governor Gerald Githinji saying it would not suit his status."The deputy governor instructed the head of planning and public works to construct a new office as per his global status," a staff privy to the matter has been quoted by the Star.According to the paper, Nyoro wanted the head of planning to refurbish three offices which were held by a former CEC member in charge of Administration, director of law enforcement and political adviser and the director of communications into one. The offices are close to the governor. It is said Nyoro wanted to use the same exit door 'as an equal principal with the governor. However, Nyoro can no longer access his offices after a Kiambu staffer executed 'orders from above' and locked them on Thursday last weekWaititu, Nyoro and three other three candidates signed a pact to unseat former Governor William Kabogo and the agreement was that Waititu, Nyoro and David Gakuyo, the main principals, would get a 30-30-40 percent share of the county government respectively. Gakuyo was to get more because he was the main campaign financier.Kiambu residents have taken it on Facebook (United States of Kiambu ) group to criticize the two for the power tussle."I knew this Nyoro-Waititu marriage won't stand the test of time. Everything is now coming down crumbling," Steve Chege says.Peter Irungu says: "Their greed is now out for all of us to see. I am happy I voted Kabogo. Before this duo is done with us, we shall have remembered Kabogo a thousand and one times".Elizabeth Njeri adds: "It started with our Women Rep ( Gathoni Wamuchomba) asking for a salary that befits her status. Now it is these two. The whole Kiambu County leadership is rotten".
