For any business to flourish, there must be people to consume your product.
In other words, you must have a customer base with demand for what you are selling.
Kibera is the biggest slum in Africa today: big in terms of size and population.
The hundreds of thousands that live here have their needs that must be met on a daily basis, and here is where entrepreneurship comes in.
Investors in Kibera just need to study what the community needs and take advantage of that knowing that there are already customers at the second end of the counter.
But even what makes things easier is that investors have the larger Nairobi as the hub to seek supply for their commodities at cheaper prices, especially when bought in bulk.
Young people of Kibera should therefore look around to see what Kibera needs, look at the surrounding areas to see what they can supply, and venture.
With this approach, issues like crime and drug abuse among youths are going to be a thing of the past.
