Nairobi senator Mike Sonko has talked about his alleged 'fist fight' with Governor Evans Kidero.

The two were engaged in a physical tussle when they appeared before the Senate Public Accounts Committee.

Speaking in an interview with Citizen TV in Sunday, Sonko said Kidero wanted to silence him by beating him.

"I am working hard as the senator for Nairobi to unravel corruption in Kidero's government and that's why the governor was determined to silence me," said Sonko.

Kidero was quoted last week claiming that Senator Sonko was drunk during the incident and accused him of making unfounded allegations.
