They claim that the June-August semester is too short to cover the total units required putting in facts that it has been too short to cover.

This has been accelerated by the fact that the lecturers strike is ongoing for the third week now.

They expressed their anger through the university president, Peter Kuria, who asked for an emergency meeting with the university senate to discuss on the matter.

According to the students’ opinion, they want the exams to be postponed to a later date, probably after the general elections to give more time for

winding up the semester’s course outlines.

According to the university, pushing the examination will alter with the year’s programs as the 2017 first years will report on 23rd August.

“The university should consider giving us quality education. We need more time to wind up this semester,” Anne Wangui, a second year student said.

The verdict is yet to be known as even the examination time table is yet to be released.

“We shall give official communication today and I wish to let everyone know that we as the students’ leaders, have your interest heart…” President Peter Kuria said.
