Kisumu County CeCs nominated by Governor Anyang' Nyong'o were sworn in by taking an oath of office on Tuesday afternoon.At a well-choreographed event hosted at the City Hall, the CeCs were sworn in by the Kisumu Chief Magistrate Julius Ng’arng’ar.Family members and the public were present to witness the event to witness the swearing-in of the nine officials.

Even though Governor Nyong'o had appointed and submitted 10 names of the nominees, one of them did not take the oath office.

Robert Onyango Ouko was nominated to head the Finance Department but reports said he tendered a resignation letter to the governor saying he would not take up the job since he had found another, elsewhere.

Those who took oath of office include;1. Education Department - John Obiero2. Business, Energy and Industry Department- Alice Moraa3. Public Works, Roads and Transport - Thomas Owiti4. Physical Planning, Lands, Housing and Urban Development - Nerry Achar5. Agriculture, Livestock, Food, and Fisheries - Owuor Okuom6. Environment, Water, Irrigation and Natural Resources - Salmon Orimba7. Economic Planning and Development - Richard Ogendo8. Health and Sanitation docket - Dr Rosemary Obara

9. Tourism, Culture, Arts, and Sports - Archie AlaiThe occasion was also witnessed by Nyong'o, Deputy Governor Dr Ochieng' Owili, the Speaker of the County Assembly Oloo Onyango, the County Secretary Dr Olang Onudi and the Chief of Staff Patrick Ouya.
