A section Kisumu residents have opined that popular Hip Hop musician Rick Ross who is set to visit the country on 28 April could be one of their own
The demands by the musician including a five star hotel room, a helicopter, 30 air tickets which 10 are first class , four vans that are tinted among other demands left the locals believing he must be one of them.
In Kenya, people from the Lake region especially Luo Nyanza have always been associated with luxurious lifestyles.
Their famous spending habits has earned them the tag of being the most romantic people among Kenyan men.
As a section of Kenyans criticized the Hip Hop artist for the huge demands, the people of Kisumu praised him on the contrary.
“What is wrong spending money if you have money? We only live once and while the money is still there let him use,” Williams Osodo noted.
Richard Ogello a resident of Kisumu said that the musician's huge spending is like that of Luo people hence making him one of them.
“Luo’s don’t fear spending money. They should come to Kisumu and see how we live here. Rick Ross must be a Luo,” Ogello said.
Other residents noted that the organizers of the event should plan for a similar extravaganza in Kisumu after he completes the Carnivore concert.
“We will provide those demands as long as he sets foot in Kisumu,” said Otieno Ochieng, a Kisumu Business man and great fan of the musician.
