Kenyans on Twitter believe more resignations of African presidents after South Africa’s Jacob Zuma threw in the towel.
Zuma resigned on Wednesday after pressure from the ruling African National Congress (ANC).
He said: “No life should be lost in my name. ANC should never be divided because of me. I have therefore decided to resign as president of the republic with immediate effect.”
A day after Zuma’s resignation, his deputy and leader of ANC party Cyril Ramaphosa was sworn in as president on Thursday, February, 15. Ramaphosa has been South Africa’s deputy president under Zuma.
Meanwhile, Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn quit on Thursday after an upsurge of protests against abuse of rights and lack of freedoms.
KOT believes President Uhuru Kenyatta could be closing into the exit list since the two; Zuma and Desalegn have been his close friends and now they are no more at the helm of their nations.
@krispinnduva said: “Uhuru Kenyatta being the bad friend. African Parent: "Hey don't associate with that boy, he is the bad influence."

@eriqinoti on his part posted a picture of President Uhuru Kenyatta with Jacob Zuma and Desalegn saying “Two of three files deleted... one file to go.#CyrilRamaphosa #MigunaMiguna #Ethiopia”
But @HassanGarat1 felt President Kenyatta’s visits to foreign countries triggered the exit of their leaders. He said “Uhuru Kenyatta visited South Africa and weeks later Zuma resigns. Uhuru Kenyatta visited Ethiopia and weeks later Desalegn resigns. Now that he has the Midas touch- @UKenyatta should visit Uganda, Equatorial, Egypt, Guinea, Togo and DRC.”
